The Russellville School District serves over 5,100 students and ranks 17th in school district size for the state of Arkansas. All schools are accredited by the North Central Association and have exceeded the standards as defined and measured by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Home to the Russellville Cyclones (athletics), the Pride of Russellville (music), and the Russellville School District has one of the most comprehensive academic programs in the state. The school district is comprised of six elementary schools for grades K-4 located throughout the community, a middle grades campus for grades 5-7, junior high campus for students in grades 8th and 9th, and a high school campus for grades 10-12.

Focused upon excellence for all students, the Russellville School District is a two-time Blue Ribbon District designation as one of the top 30% of the school districts in the US from Expansion Management Magazine’s annual “Education Quotient” school rankings. Only three other school districts in Arkansas received this honor.

Russellville students traditionally score above the 50th percentile of all students on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). One student for every 16.25 who participates qualifies as a National Merit Semifinalist. This ratio is one of the highest in the state and compares favorably with top quality school systems throughout the nation.

More than 50% of our high school graduates enroll in programs of higher education each year. The average ACT score is 23.4, which is above the state average for this exam. Russellville also boasts of more National Board Certified Teachers than any other school district in Arkansas.

In cooperation with Arkansas Tech University, an Outstanding High School Program is offered to provide qualified high school students (grades 9-12) the opportunity to earn college credit by attending the university during the summer while enrolled in high school.
